SALTED CARAMEL POPCORN
What better way to combine your movie nights than with Salted caramel popcorn. Better than any store bought, this will definitely get you addicted.
6 cups popped corn
1 can coconut milk
3 tablespoons coconut sugar
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Pinch of sea salt or to taste
Step 1. Place all ingredients except the popcorn in a pan and bring to boil. Then let it simmer until it reduces and thickens into a nice golden caramel. The oil may separate from the mixture. Dont worry just give it a good stir until it comes together to form a smooth caramel.
Step 2. Go ahead and pop your popcorn. The easiest and quickest way is to use an air popper.
Step 3. Next pour the popcorn into a large bowl.
Step 4. Now pour in the caramel and stir well to ensure all popcorn is coated.
Step 5. Line a baking tray with baking paper and pour popcorn on the tray.
Step 6. Cook in a preheated oven 160 degrees for about 10-12 minutes until golden.
Step 7. Take them out and let them cool for 10 minutes then dive in !!!
